Artists Sought for Goshen Expo

Mark your calendars, artists and art enthusiasts: A beloved Goshen tradition is making a comeback.

This year’s Arts on the Millrace is set for Saturday, September 11 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The showcase will take place along the canal from Madison Street north to the powerhouse.

“COVID-19 prompted organizers to make last year’s Arts on the Millrace a virtual event,” said coordinator Adrienne Nesbitt. “That makes the upcoming showcase the first in-person Arts on the Millrace since 2019, we’re thrilled to present the event the way it was meant to be experienced.”

Arts on the Millrace features local and regional artists showcasing their wares in a variety of mediums. Most of the work on display will be for sale. Arts on the Millrace will also feature musical performances throughout the day, and food will be available for purchase.

Organizers are seeking artists for the event. The application and a complete list of guidelines are available here. Application submission does not guarantee a spot in the festival. Arts on the Millrace is juried by the Arts on the Millrace Committee.

“Goshen has become a regional arts destination, and it’s the perfect location for an event like this,” Nesbitt said. “Talented creatives and a beautiful location will make for an outstanding Arts on the Millrace.”

Arts on the Millrace is hosted by Goshen Arts and Events, a not-for-profit organization established to support the growth and expansion of the arts in Goshen, Indiana.
